Jean-François Jonvelle (1943-2002). In 1963 Jonvelle became an assistant to the American photographer Richard Avedon. His work is marked by a great respect for his models and a truth that emerges from his portraits of naked.
“I couldn’t look at editorials containing nudes. Especially in public, I constantly thought people would think I am looking through a pornographic magazine. My perception changed radically. I found incredible beauty in it.”
